the history behind Affinity SEO!
Hi and welcome, first of all! I’m Robyn, the person behind Affinity SEO.
I decided to launch Affinity SEO at a very busy time in my life, I was working full time at an amazing agency and my life was very hectic with work and family life. It was difficult to separate the two until eventually I started to experience burn-out!
It was then that I realised how much stress I was putting on myself and couldn’t see the light at the end of the tunnel.
I enjoyed every aspect of my job as an SEO Specialist and I worked with some fantastic companies over those two years.
But I realised I wanted to reduce my work load, and I wouldn’t be able to that whilst continuing on that path. And so, Affinity SEO was born!

I don’t want to drone on all about myself, so I thought the best way to get to know me is with some facts:
- I am a mother of three, aged from 14 to 7 – they are all slightly crazy, think they got it from their dad.
- I have been happily married for 11 years, and we continue to do fun things together and get away when possible.
- I love all animals – we have 2 dogs (Ranger the black Lab and Gizmo the Shih Tzu), 3 cats (Lola, Carol and Daryl) and 2 rats (Sammy and Deano).
- My hobbies include reading, knitting and having days out with the kids.
- Some of my favourite things to watch are Harry Potter (total Potterhead), Lord of The Rings, The Hobbit, Supernatural, A Discovery of Witches and various other fantasy programmes.
- I love a good pub lunch, whether it be in the Lake District, York or in Wales – I have favourite pubs in areas we visit.
- I hate spiders! It doesn’t matter if they are the size of dust spec or my head, I can’t stand them and will ask my ever so heroic husband to remove them from the house (humanely of course).
